Tickets for the Feminist Writers Festival are on sale now, available to purchase online here.
Can I buy tickets for one session/part of the festival?
Yes, we have a number of ticketing options:
Feminist Writers Festival offers weekend, day or individual session tickets.
These tickets cover panel sessions only, and do not include entry to workshops which can be purchased separately.
All ticket prices are displayed on our ticketing page.
Am I eligible for a concession?
Concession tickets are available for:
- Children (16 years and under)
- Full-time students
- Pensioners/Health Care Card holders
If you are booking a concession ticket as a full-time student, Pensioner/Health Care Card holder or senior, please bring your concession card along to the festival with you.
What if I have a ticket but can’t come on the day? Can you cancel or refund my ticket?
Unfortunately we cannot offer refunds, but you can pass your ticket onto a friend to come in your place.
Will books be on sale at the festival?
Books by artists appearing at Melbourne events will be available to purchase at QVWC events, courtesy of our friends at Readings. Our festival book store will accept both cash and EFTPOS.
Are there any childcare options at the festival?
There will be a ‘Kids & Carers’ room onsite at QVWC available for carers and their children to rest and recuperate between sessions for the duration of our festival. The room is suitable for breastfeeding, but please note, children must be accompanied by a carer at all times, as we cannot offer a childminding service. Breastfeeding is welcome in all areas of the festival, not just the Kids & Carers room.
Babes in arms are welcome in all sessions. In the case of an extended period of crying, we ask that you be mindful of other participants and pop out of the room to settle babies when required.
Children are welcome to attend sessions with a parent or caregiver. It is at the discretion of the parent/caregiver to assess the suitability of subject material, including swearing and sexual/violent content. Children attending sessions will be asked to keep talking to a whisper.
Please note: our Opening Night event is at LOOP Project Space & Bar; ticket holders under 18 years of age can attend the Opening Night with a parent or guardian.
Will I be photographed or recorded at the festival?
We will be audio- and video-recording many sessions – including audience Q&As – so you may be recorded. We will also be taking photographs for reporting on, and future promotion of, the festival. Your attendance assumes that incidental photographs for non-commercial purposes may be taken and utilised by us and others. If you wish to not be photographed, please advise our roving photographer and they will do their best not to include you in any photos. Please note we are unable to guarantee that you will not be included in the background of a photo.
Can I volunteer at the festival?
Our call for volunteers for the Vic program has now closed.
